Čadca

Čadca is located in the northwest corner of Slovakia, near the tri-point where the country meets Poland and Czechia. The town is home to about 22,000 people and is tucked amid hills and mountains visible in the distance. Architecturally, this is not an easy town to love, with a rather small town center defined by a mishmash of building styles, some imposing Brutalist buildings and the usual confusing network of roads that is a feature of many Slovaks towns and cities. The people I have met there are the true highlight of the place. You will meet several of them over the course of the season.
